The Newly Elected President of the Alabama District Attorneys Association

The Alabama District Attorneys Association has recently sworn in Michael Jackson as their new president. He was sworn in with the new Executive Committee. Jackson’s first task will be to lead the organization in addressing the pressing issues facing the state’s criminal justice system. Jackson previously served as an assistant attorney general. Michael Jackson

The newly elected president of the Alabama District Attorneys Association is African American. The Association just elected the first Black president, Michael Jackson, to a one-year term. Jackson, a veteran prosecutor, has worked on several high-profile cases, including the prosecution of the ex-state trooper who shot and killed Jimmie Lee Jackson, a black man, in 1965. The murder sparked a series of historic civil rights marches.

DA Jackson prosecuted some high-profile cases, including the Alabama Church Arson Cases and the Artifacts Case. In addition, he successfully argued the case against ex-state trooper Bernard Fowler for the 1965 murder of Jimmie Lee Jackson, a black man. These cases led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act. While in Alabama, Jackson was honored with several honors.

Jeff Roberts

The Jeff Roberts Law Firm was founded by attorney Jeffery S. Roberts. Jeff is admitted to practice in the state of Alabama. He is also a member of the Alabama District Attorneys Association and the Cullman County Bar Association. He has devoted his career to protecting the rights of injured people. Jeff Roberts is the newest member of the Alabama District Attorneys Association. He has over 25 years of legal experience and is committed to bringing justice to those who have been injured or killed.

A member of the Alabama District Attorneys Association, Jeff Roberts represents the state in state and federal courts. He handles civil matters ranging from criminal cases to constitutional and administrative law issues. He is also a member of the Alabama District Attorneys Association and represents the State in appeals. His experience includes assisting the Alabama Solicitor General in cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He was elected as president-elect in 2018.

C. Lynn Hammond

C. Lynn Hammond is the chief assistant district attorney for Calhoun/Cleburne county in Alabama. She graduated from Oxford High School and Auburn University School of Law. She has been a district attorney for over 20 years and was recently recognized as the assistant district attorney of the year. Her duties include supervision of legal staff and prosecution of capital cases and all violent crimes. Listed below are some of her accomplishments.

In February, Allison O. Skinner received the 2020 Award of Merit from the Alabama State Bar. This award recognizes attorneys 36 years old or younger who have provided outstanding service to the legal profession. She has also been named president of the Montgomery County Bar Association and has been elected to the board of directors of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Also, Navan Ward, Jr. has been named president-elect of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). He will serve as the executive committee member for a fifth consecutive year.

Matthew Kimbrough

After serving as the Jefferson County prosecutor, Matthew Kimbrough moved on to private practice. He was a placekicker in college and transferred to Fort Hays State University in Kansas, where he continued to kick. After graduating with a B.S. in 2013, Kimbrough enrolled in the Cumberland School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama District Attorneys Association, Cullman County Bar Association, and the Louisiana State Bar.
